Life can be cruel. Life can be very cruel, and at points, it can reveal to you just how powerless you are. Whether it be the passing of a loved one, the loss of a business or a home, or a car accident, poor health, chronic pain, or some other sort of tragedy — we all deal with things in life that produce pain. And pain, my friend, is no fun. Some of us endure more pain than others. Life shows up when we least anticipate it. Things go from being good to going bad. Things change instantly. Life hands us “lemons.” Life knocks us off our feet. But don’t get it distorted. Life is equally wonderful. Some say life is what happens while we are busy making other plans. Some say if you count your blessings, they will multiply. One thing is for sure, this holiday season, we all have a lot to be thankful for.
